On July 14th, led by the International Education College, a team consisting of about 50 teachers and students from the General Medical College and the Medical Technology College was jointly established to carry out the "Three Down to the Countryside" summer social practice activity in Hounanyu Village, Xindu District, Xingtai City. Some teachers and students from the school's Youth Committee, Graduate School, and Second Hospital also participated in the activity.

  At the event's kick-off ceremony, the head of the school's Youth Committee delivered a speech and presented a plaque to Hounanyu Village in Xingtai, marking the establishment of the "Hebei Medical University Social Practice Base" and the "Hebei Medical University Aesthetic Education Practice Base" in the village.  Following this, Chinese and foreign students, led by our school's village-based cadres, visited the appearance of Hounanyu Village and the local chestnut ecological park, fully experiencing the fruitful achievements of "rural revitalization" and gaining a comprehensive, authentic, and three-dimensional understanding of China's national conditions.

  During the free clinic session, Chinese and foreign university student volunteers actively measured blood pressure and blood sugar for the people who came for treatment. The overseas students also fully utilized their own strengths to teach English to more than 20 primary school students in Hounanyu Village. Through fun and interactive activities, they allowed the children to experience the charm of English communication, and presented them with badminton rackets, shuttlecocks, and other cultural and sports supplies.

  This event is also a component of the "Perceiving China" social practice and cultural experience project organized by the International Education College for the China Scholarship Council in 2024. By establishing a social practice platform and organizing Chinese and foreign students to participate in volunteer service activities such as "bringing medical care to the countryside", "bringing culture to the countryside", and "bringing health knowledge to the countryside", it further strengthens ideological identification, promotes mutual understanding between peoples, and effectively promotes the high-quality and connotative development of our school's education for international students in China.
