Recently, BADMAZHAPOVA SELINA, an international student from our college, was selected as a finalist and won the second prize in the "Fourth My Hebei Story - Chinese Speech Contest for Foreign Friends in Hebei Province". Our university was awarded the "Excellent Organization Award", and Niu Li, a teacher from the International Education College, was honored with the "Excellent Mentor Award".

BADMAZHAPOVA SELINA, from Russia, is a 2023 graduate student pursuing a master's degree at our university. She shared her experiences, observations, and thoughts during her internship at a hospital directly affiliated to our university, under the theme "Opportunities in China - Hebei Healthcare Through My Eyes" as a medical international student. Her passionate speaking style, vivid and fluent Chinese proficiency, and sincere affection for and understanding of China were highly recognized by the judges on site. She stood out among 10 participating international students from 8 universities in the province, ranking third overall.

This competition was jointly organized by the Hebei Provincial Office for Promoting Chinese as a Foreign Language, the Hebei Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Hebei Radio and Television Station. The International Education College made full use of this event platform to actively organize our international students to sign up for the competition. By promoting learning and teaching through competitions, we aim to continuously improve the level of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and strengthen education on Chinese national conditions, foster a deep understanding and friendship towards China, spread the voice of China, and strive to cultivate outstanding international medical talents who actively promote friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries and work together with the Chinese people to build a "community with a shared future for mankind".
